EMI Music Sound Foundation is an independent music education charity, established in 1997 to celebrate the centenary of EMI Records and to improve young peoples' access to music education in the UK & Ireland.
We are now the single largest sponsor of Specialist Performing Arts Colleges (see Specialist Schools page) and have created vital bursaries at seven music colleges to assist music students in need of financial support. (see Awards page) We have also helped hundreds of schools and individual students improve their access to music through the purchase or upgrade of instruments and music making equipment (see Awards page).
