BURSARY AWARDS - £135,000 Two past recipients of bursary awards at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama

Though not part of the Foundation's original mandate, it was very quickly realised that the number of students seeking funds for music college courses and maintenance vastly exceeded available funds. The Trustees therefore decided the most effective solution was to create a number of bursaries at five music colleges throughout the UK. In October 1999 each college was granted £5,000 with the responsibility to distribute at their discretion. In 2001 the Trustees added one further college to this scheme (Drumtech).
